Grinding Gear Games has announced the latest expansion for their popular action RPG, Path of Exile. Titled Settlers of Kalguur, it will be available on July 26th. Players can expect to engage in resource gathering and city-building in the new key location, Kingsmarch. Notably, this expansion integrates both new characters and familiar faces from the Expedition league.
Resource Gathering and New Characters
In Settlers of Kalguur, players will collect various materials, including Crimson Iron, Orichalcum, and Petrified Amber. Each material comes with its unique set of challenges, such as battling powerful enemies to obtain Verisium. The game allows players to hire workers for various tasks, including smelting, farming, and mining. Additionally, Isla from Heist can be employed to send fighters to run maps for players during the endgame.
Trade Routes and Enchantments
Once players establish a Harbour, they can create trade routes and earn various rewards. The character Dannig can enchant weapons with runes, while Isla has the ability to combine items for potent results, reminiscent of Sentinel’s recombination. The endgame also introduces new bosses threatening Kingsmarch, giving players the choice to either fight or pay a ransom.
