Following a prolonged period of anticipation since its announcement in 2016, Cygames’ action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set to debut, presenting a fresh narrative for the Grandcypher crew. The release trailer hints at a dire threat that could spell doom for the game’s world.
A Journey Filled with Peril
The game’s plot centers around the characters Gran/Djeeta and Lyria, along with their companions, as they journey towards Estalucia. They encounter formidable Primal Beasts and must confront the enigmatic Pilgrims of Avia, led by Lilith, who pursue their own secretive ends, challenging foes such as General Galanza and Maglielle, the Sword Veil’s commander.
Expansive Content and Future Updates
Adding to the intrigue, a “mysterious swordsman” named Id appears, vowing to defend Lyria, and revealing complex motivations. Granblue Fantasy: Relink is slated for release on February 1st across PS4, PS5, and PC platforms. Post-launch, the game promises an array of additional content, including an Ultimate Showdown with Lucilius in March, and the introduction of new characters Seofon and Tweyen in April, with more updates anticipated in the future.
