FOX’s collaboration with Beverly Hills Aerials, the drone manufacturer and operator, ensures the seamless integration of this cutting-edge technology.
Despite their 4K camera capabilities, these drones will deliver a crisp 1080p HDR broadcast, adding a new dimension to in-game highlights. Notably, only one drone will soar at any given moment, with its pilot strategically stationed in the outfield.
Enhancing Viewer Experience
Adding to this technological feat, FOX has introduced the UmpCam – a first-of-its-kind perspective straight from the home plate umpire’s mask. This camera positions fans right in the umpire’s shoes, especially during ball/strike decisions and during riveting on-field sequences.
Complementing these innovations, FOX Sports’ World Series broadcast boasts an arsenal of 52 cameras. These include the overhead FlyCam, DirtCams situated around the bases, Super Motion cameras, and RF cameras.
