“It was time, I had been there so long, and Starfield wasn’t super my thing,”

“It has been so much less stressful as an indie even though it’s like, ‘Yes, I’m not making any money until I ship something.’

Does he plan to return to triple-A?

While Purkeypile values his experiences at Bethesda, he does not intend to return to the triple-A environment.

“Not necessarily, but I would work with a lot of those people I worked with because they’re all really talented,”

he stated. Instead, he prefers collaborating with talented individuals on his own terms, maintaining the flexibility and autonomy that comes with independent development.
