Samsung has achieved a significant milestone with its latest Galaxy S24 series, as pre-booking numbers have soared to unprecedented levels in South Korea. The advanced marketing of the Galaxy S24 as an AI-powered device appears to have resonated with consumers, leading to a surge in early demand.
Remarkable Growth in Pre-Bookings
The Galaxy S24 series has seen pre-bookings reach 1.21 million units in South Korea, marking an 11% increase from its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 lineup. This impressive figure was achieved within a short span, from January 19 to January 25, showcasing the brand’s growing popularity.
Dominance of the Ultra Model
The Galaxy S24 Ultra model has captured the lion’s share of pre-bookings, with approximately 60% of the total, followed by the Plus and standard models at 21% and 19%, respectively. Color preferences also emerged, with Titanium Black being the top choice for the Ultra variant and Marble Gray for the Plus and standard models.
The 1.21 million units pre-booked set a new record for the Galaxy S series, surpassing the previous high of 1.09 million units held by the Galaxy S23 series. This achievement not only signifies the highest sales record in the series’ pre-sale history but also represents the highest average daily sales among all Galaxy series devices to date.
