During this period, players can enjoy a unique Takeover mode that replaces the standard unranked Battle Royale, featuring elements from the renowned Final Fantasy series including Materia Hop-Ups and the legendary Buster Sword.
Unleashing the Power of the Buster Sword
The iconic Buster Sword is not merely for display; players can execute Light and Heavy Attacks, perform dashes and blocks for damage mitigation, and energize their Limit Break gauge. Once charged, players can devastate opponents with the powerful Omnislash move, reminiscent of the Final Fantasy series’ combat mechanics.
Special Materia Hop-Ups and Exclusive Cosmetics
Materia Hop-Ups, which grant passive benefits like health regeneration upon dealing damage, can be found randomly in-game or through special Cactuar Ticks. However, these Materia Hop-Ups are restricted to specific weapons. The event also offers 36 collectible cosmetics, ranging from new Horizon and Newcastle skins to sticker sets, with the Buster Sword R5 being a standout Mythic Melee cosmetic item usable by all characters.
