Recently, Apple has released the Release Candidate (RC) for macOS 14.3, marking a significant step closer to the official update’s launch. This version reintroduces a feature that had been tested but removed in earlier betas: the Apple Music Collaborative Playlists.
Revamped Music Collaboration
This innovative feature allows friends to join forces in curating music playlists, empowering them to add, rearrange, and delete tracks. Furthermore, a new addition to the iOS 17.3 beta is the capacity to respond to songs in these collaborative playlists with an emoji, an option not present in the iOS 17.2 beta.
Features Still in the Pipeline
Despite the introduction of collaborative playlists, macOS Sonoma is pending the release of some anticipated functionalities. These include the enhancement of Messages in iCloud to synchronize message settings across devices, and a smart detection system for fillable PDFs and forms within the system.
Parallel to the macOS 14.3 RC, Apple is distributing RC versions of its other operating systems, including iOS 17.3, iPadOS 17.3, watchOS 10.3, and tvOS 17.3.
The previous macOS 14.2 update brought several features, such as sticker reactions, playlist editing with custom covers and descriptions, message contact key verification, autofill enhancements, a Favorite Songs playlist, customizable listening history in Apple Music, and Shazam music recognition.
Further details about the full capabilities of macOS 14.3 RC will be disclosed as they become available, promising to enrich the user experience with improved functionality and interactivity.
