CarbonSix was co-founded in 2024 by Jehyuk Kim and Terry Moon, bringing experience from both academic research and commercial AI deployment. Kim’s background includes work at MIT, Yale, and Seoul National University, while Moon previously contributed to SUALAB and was part of its acquisition by Cognex. Chief Technology Officer Dr. Hyungju Suh also contributes expertise from engagements at MIT CSAIL, Boston Dynamics, and NASA JPL. Reflecting on SigmaKit’s entry into the market, the company shared,

“Since its launch, we have already received sales inquiries and reservations, and we are currently conducting PoC [proof-of-concept] projects with major global manufacturers.”
