Core Keeper, a popular survival sandbox game developed by Pugstorm, is gearing up for a significant update titled Bags & Blasts, set to launch on March 10. This update promises to enhance gameplay by introducing new explosive capabilities and overhauling the inventory system. Players can look forward to a more dynamic and organized gaming experience with these enhancements.
Previous updates focused on expanding the game’s exploration and crafting mechanics. The Bags & Blasts update shifts the emphasis towards introducing versatile explosive tools and improving inventory management, reflecting the developers’ commitment to diversifying gameplay options and streamlining player interactions within the game.
New Explosives Skill Tree
The update brings an entirely new Explosives skill tree, featuring eight additional skills that expand tactical options for players.
“Discover the new Explosives skill tree, complete with eight new skills, plus the addition of brand new bomb types, including the powerful vacuum-creating Void Bomb and the multi-blast Blunder Bomb, and the explosive new grenades weapon type,”
explained Pugstorm. These new bombs offer various strategic uses, allowing players to customize their destructive capabilities.
Inventory Overhaul with Pouches
To address inventory management, the update introduces pouches, enabling players to organize and store resources more efficiently.
“With the introduction of pouches, these handy new accessories provide efficient new ways to manage your inventory, with separate dedicated places to store resources and free up valuable inventory space,”
stated Pugstorm. Additionally, the hotbar swapping feature allows quicker access to essential equipment, enhancing the overall user experience.
New Boss Encounter in Oasis
The update also introduces a formidable new boss, Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands, who resides in the newly added Oasis sub-biome. Pugstorm describes this encounter as
“one of Core Keeper’s biggest boss fights yet.”
Players are encouraged to prepare with ample explosives and teamwork to tackle this challenging adversary, adding a fresh layer of difficulty and excitement to the game.
The Bags & Blasts update, available for free, not only reinforces Core Keeper’s existing features but also expands the gameplay with meaningful additions. By integrating new explosive tools and refining inventory systems, Pugstorm ensures that players have more options and better control over their in-game resources, ultimately enhancing the overall gaming experience.
