New Star Wars-Themed Skins for Destiny 2
With the arrival of Heresy Act 1 on November 4, players will gain access to three distinct Star Wars skins, developed alongside Lucasfilm Games. Hunters will don the black armor of Death Troopers, Warlocks can wear the red attire of the Royal Guard, and Titans are set to sport the classic Stormtrooper look. Each skin not only changes the character’s appearance but may also include unique in-game perks.

The update also introduces the DS-2 shell for Ghosts, inspired by the Death Star from “Return of the Jedi,” complete with a decorative superlaser. Senior Social Media Manager Andy Salisbury revealed further additions, stating:
“There will be a sparrow, a ship, emotes, and a finisher” available with the start of Heresy.

Bungie’s Ongoing Collaboration Strategy
Bungie continues to embrace brand collaborations to keep Destiny 2 dynamic and engaging. Lincoln Carpenter commented on past crossovers, acknowledging potential immersion concerns:
“While such crossovers can end up feeling like I’m looking at spillover from Comic-Con when I want to be looking at Destiny,” his Titan “would look rad riding an owlbear.”
Despite mixed feedback, the strategy appears to remain a valuable approach for expanding the game’s universe and appeal.
