Enterijer Mesicki, a renowned Serbian furniture manufacturer, has advanced its production capabilities by integrating FANUC robots and RoboDK software into its manufacturing processes. This combination allows for precise programming and simulation of milling and sanding tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate production workflows. The robust performance of FANUC robots, coupled with the flexible programming capabilities of RoboDK, facilitates seamless automation in furniture manufacturing.

What Are the Core Applications of the New System?

The robotic cell supports three main applications: a belt sander for high-speed material removal, an orbital sander for fine finishing, and a milling motor for intricate cutting and detailing. These applications enable Enterijer Mesicki to achieve uniform material preparation and detailed designs on various surfaces. The belt sander operates at programmable speeds up to 21 m/s with adjustable pressure, while the orbital sander offers six adjustable speeds and a 5 mm oscillation radius. The milling motor, equipped with a 12 kW air-cooled motor and variable speed control up to 24,000 rpm, enhances the precision of detailed tooling and cutting operations.

Looking ahead, Enterijer Mesicki plans to introduce advanced aggregates for curvilinear edge banding, further expanding their capability to produce bespoke furniture using robotic technology. Additionally, the company is developing robotic systems for Metalac_INKO in Serbia, focusing on sanding composite bathroom fixtures like sinks and bathtubs.
