A number of Galaxy S24 Ultra owners have noted that their devices exhibit less vibrant colors when compared to the previous Galaxy S23 Ultra model.
Color Calibration Concerns
This color discrepancy is particularly noticeable when the “Vivid” setting is active within the display options. The issue has sparked discussions among users on various social media platforms, including X/Twitter and Reddit, who have reported similar experiences with both the Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra models.
Software Glitch Suspected
Despite these reports, it appears that the hardware of the smartphones is functioning correctly. The “Natural” color profile on the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display produces colors that match those on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This suggests that the problem may stem from a software glitch specifically affecting the “Vivid” color profile, which could be rectified in a forthcoming software update.
