The company has commenced trials of its autonomous 460E-II articulating dump truck (ADT) for mining applications. Measuring 34 feet long and capable of hauling over 92,000 pounds, this ADT is designed to perform repetitive material transport tasks within quarries. Maya Sripadham, a senior product manager at Deere, mentioned,
“The great thing about a quarry is it is a structured environment… It’s a great starting point for construction autonomy.”

The newly launched autonomous electric mower represents John Deere’s venture into commercial landscaping automation. Equipped with a 21.4kWh battery and utilizing the company’s Generation 2 autonomy stack, the mower offers up to 10 hours of continuous operation.
