What Are Arena Quests?

Arena Quests offer players the opportunity to compete against each other by hunting a target monster using specific equipment loadouts. This setup levels the playing field, allowing players to demonstrate their hunting prowess through achieving the fastest kill times. Unlike traditional hunts, the emphasis is on speed and strategy within the constraints of the preset gear.

How Will Leaderboards Be Managed?

The completion times for each arena quest are recorded on global leaderboards, enabling players worldwide to compare their performance. Capcom has implemented measures to maintain the integrity of these rankings, expressing a firm stance against cheating.

“We will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools,”

stated Capcom in a recent tweet, emphasizing their commitment to fair play.

What Measures Are in Place to Prevent Cheating?

To safeguard the competitive environment, Capcom has declared a zero-tolerance policy for cheating in arena quests. Players found using mods or external tools to manipulate their kill times risk suspension or disqualification from receiving rewards. Additionally, even associating with players who cheat can lead to penalties, ensuring that all participants adhere to the rules.

In comparison to previous updates, this rollout of arena quests marks a significant shift towards incorporating competitive elements into Monster Hunter Wilds. Earlier updates primarily focused on expanding cooperative missions and adding new content for players to explore together. The introduction of leaderboards and a heightened focus on fair competition represents Capcom’s response to the community’s demand for more diverse gameplay options.

Players are advised to disable or uninstall any performance-enhancing mods before participating in arena quests to avoid potential account suspensions. Capcom’s strict policies highlight the company’s dedication to maintaining a balanced and enjoyable gaming experience for all users. Additionally, reporting suspicious activities through the Hunter Profile feature is encouraged to help uphold the integrity of the leaderboards.

Adopting these new competitive features will not only cater to players seeking a challenging experience but also foster a fair and engaging community environment. Ensuring that all hunters compete on an even playing field, Capcom’s latest update aims to blend the cherished cooperative aspects of Monster Hunter with the thrill of competitive ranking.
