Since its release for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in September, F-Zero 99 has been consistently enhanced with fresh content and gameplay options. The latest addition to this free-to-play multiplayer racing game is a feature that allows players to create private lobbies, thus facilitating private gaming sessions with friends.
Private Gaming Sessions Introduced
Nintendo has announced the introduction of private lobbies to F-Zero 99, enabling players to set up private races with selected friends. This update provides an alternative to the previous setup, which only permitted racing alongside randomly selected online competitors.
Continuous Expansion with New Features
“Enjoy this new way to play with friends, and look out for the appearance of Secret Tracks!” Nintendo shared in a recent social media post, hinting at more surprises for players. Since its inception, F-Zero 99 has expanded its course offerings and, in November, introduced a Classic Mode that emulates the racing experience of the original SNES F-Zero with 20-player races.
F-Zero 99 remains an exclusive title for Nintendo Switch, accessible only through an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. This update continues to build on the game’s commitment to providing a rich and evolving multiplayer racing experience.
