The latest update to “Overwatch 2” introduces adjustments to character Mauga, following his overpowering performance after recent enhancements. Mauga’s health stats underwent modification, with an increase in base health offset by a reduction in base armor. Additionally, the ammunition capacity for his Chainguns has been lowered. The patch also alters Mauga’s Cardiac Overdrive and Cage Fight abilities, decreasing lifesteal percentage and eliminating infinite ammo, respectively, while diminishing the overhealth conversion from his Berserker ability.
Hero Adjustments Beyond Mauga
The patch brings further refinements to other characters. Orisa’s primary weapon no longer suffers a falloff damage penalty, and Illari’s ultimate ability, Captive Sun, now comes with several enhancements. Lifeweaver’s Petal Platform has been upgraded to block piercing projectiles, reinforcing her defensive capabilities.
Roadhog’s Healing Reduced for Game Balance
In an effort to balance gameplay, particularly for lower-ranked players, Roadhog’s self-healing ability has been nerfed, both in the healing amount and the cooldown duration. This change aims to mitigate the overwhelming impact Roadhog had in games.
