The game’s popularity surged as evidenced by its concurrent player count, which soared to nearly 300,000 shortly after release and continued to climb to over half a million players. This surge placed Palworld among the top games on Steam’s all-time high concurrent player list, surpassing well-known titles such as Valheim and Grand Theft Auto V.

The success is particularly notable considering Palworld’s modest beginnings. The game was developed by an initial team of just four developers over three years.
