Samsung has significantly broadened its self-repair initiative, incorporating additional devices, product categories, and components for consumer access. This enhancement includes 14 fresh models such as the Galaxy S23 lineup, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Tab S9 series, Book 2 series, and the Freestyle 2 projector, marking a notable step forward for the program.
Extensive Self-Repair Options Across Samsung’s Portfolio
With this initiative, Samsung is set to provide self-repair choices for almost 50 models, positioning it as a leader in the industry’s self-service repair landscape. The company is dedicated to the program’s growth, ensuring a gradual increase in supported devices.
Enhanced Repair Capabilities for Galaxy Devices
Galaxy smartphone users have been granted an expanded range of parts for self-repair, including the ability to replace speakers, SIM trays, side keys, and volume keys. These parts are in addition to previously available components such as display assemblies, back glass, and charging ports.
Galaxy Book users are now empowered to replace their device’s left and right speakers and fan. These options add to the already available repairs for displays, batteries, power keys with fingerprint readers, touchpads, front and rear cases, and rubber feet. Additionally, affordable tool kits are offered either with parts or separately for various device repairs.
In a bid to provide genuine parts, tools, and repair guides, Samsung continues to strengthen its partnership with Encompass Supply Chain Solutions. This collaboration extends to a range of products, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, select foldable devices, and home entertainment systems.
