Owners of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone are beginning to receive the latest firmware update which brings the January 2024 security patch. This update is designed to enhance the overall performance and security of the device, addressing various issues and vulnerabilities.
Rollout in European Regions
Introduced with the One UI build version A528BXXS6FXA1, the rollout of the security update has commenced in select European countries. Samsung plans to extend the availability of this update to additional regions shortly, ensuring users worldwide receive the necessary security upgrades.
Security Enhancements Detailed
The current security patch rectifies upwards of 75 vulnerabilities that range in severity from critical to moderate, affecting the Android operating system. Notably, one of these vulnerabilities was addressed in a previous Samsung update and four others are not applicable to Galaxy devices.
To manually initiate the update process, Samsung customers are advised to navigate to their device’s “System Settings.” From there, users can select the “Software update” option and then tap “Download and install” to begin updating their Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone.
