SECO and NXP have previously collaborated on various hardware integrations, but this agreement extends their partnership into the software domain, providing a more unified solution for IoT applications. The integration of Clea software signifies a deeper collaboration aimed at enhancing the capabilities of NXP silicon users.

Expanded Availability of Clea Software

Under the new agreement, SECO’s Clea platform will be accessible to all users of NXP silicon, integrating seamlessly with NXP’s EdgeLock® 2GO service. This integration allows for enhanced IoT data management and device control, offering a cohesive solution for device manufacturers.

Enhanced IoT Development Environment

The collaboration leverages Clea’s advanced features alongside NXP’s processing capabilities, creating an optimized environment for developing AI-powered IoT applications. Native integration into NXP’s Linux and Zephyr BSPs facilitates quick access to Clea’s functionalities, accelerating the development cycle.

Strengthened Security and Device Management

Security remains a key focus, with Clea software’s device provisioning enhanced by NXP’s EdgeLock® 2GO services. This combination ensures a secure lifecycle for IoT products, from over-the-air updates to the deployment of custom applications, without necessitating hardware changes.

“This partnership agreement with SECO will enlarge NXP’s value proposition to our customers by providing them access to Clea’s ready-to-use IoT platform and pre-trained AI algorithms, supporting multiple use cases. Furthermore, Clea will offer secure device provisioning by leveraging NXP’s EdgeLock 2GO services. This will allow end customers to manage seamlessly the whole lifecycle of their products, from secure OTA to deployment of their own or third party services and applications, without the need to change hardware”

, said Luca Difalco, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, NXP Semiconductors.

“This partnership between NXP and SECO represents a significant milestone in our technological advancements in both hardware and software. Over the years, we have cultivated a strong, privileged relationship and share a unified vision for the future of the industrial IoT market. Our joint commitment, centered on Clea software and EdgeLock 2GO, elevates our collaboration to new heights”

, said Massimo Mauri, CEO of SECO.

By uniting SECO’s software expertise with NXP’s hardware and cloud services, the partnership is set to streamline product development and reduce time to market for IoT solutions. Manufacturers can benefit from a unified platform that supports scalable AI models and robust security protocols, enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of their products.
