SECO S.p.A. and NXP Semiconductors have reached a pivotal agreement enhancing the integration of software and hardware solutions in the IoT sector. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in providing comprehensive tools for developers and manufacturers. The partnership aims to streamline the development process for AI-powered industrial devices.
SECO and NXP have previously collaborated on various hardware integrations, but this agreement extends their partnership into the software domain, providing a more unified solution for IoT applications. The integration of Clea software signifies a deeper collaboration aimed at enhancing the capabilities of NXP silicon users.
Expanded Availability of Clea Software
Under the new agreement, SECO’s Clea platform will be accessible to all users of NXP silicon, integrating seamlessly with NXP’s EdgeLock® 2GO service. This integration allows for enhanced IoT data management and device control, offering a cohesive solution for device manufacturers.
Enhanced IoT Development Environment
The collaboration leverages Clea’s advanced features alongside NXP’s processing capabilities, creating an optimized environment for developing AI-powered IoT applications. Native integration into NXP’s Linux and Zephyr BSPs facilitates quick access to Clea’s functionalities, accelerating the development cycle.
Strengthened Security and Device Management
Security remains a key focus, with Clea software’s device provisioning enhanced by NXP’s EdgeLock® 2GO services. This combination ensures a secure lifecycle for IoT products, from over-the-air updates to the deployment of custom applications, without necessitating hardware changes.
