Samsung has initiated the deployment of a security update for its Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus models. The January 2024 security patch, aimed at enhancing the system’s security and stability, is currently being distributed to devices on the Verizon network within the United States.

This security update addresses a total of 75 vulnerabilities of varying severity within the Android OS, including one critical, 68 high, and six moderate-risk Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). Notably, one CVE was already mitigated in prior updates, while four others do not affect Galaxy devices.

Owners of the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus can recognize the update by specific One UI build numbers: T878USQS6DXA2 for the Galaxy Tab S7 5G and T978USQS6DXA2 for the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. To access the update, users should navigate to the device’s settings, proceed to the software update section, and follow the prompts to download and install the update.
