Square Enix’s Creative Business Unit 3 is set to enhance the gaming experience for Final Fantasy 14 players with the introduction of new content, including a collaborative crossover event with Final Fantasy 16. The new content, titled “Dawntrail,” is slated for a summer release, but players can engage in the crossover quest titled “The Path Infernal” as early as April with the release of patch 6.5X.
Final Fantasy 14 and 16 Crossover Event Details
The crossover event will allow Final Fantasy 14 players to join forces with Clive Rosfield, the main character from Final Fantasy 16, in an exclusive quest. This collaboration will provide participants with unique rewards, such as a Torgal mount and a wolf pup minion, as well as the opportunity to utilize some of Clive’s distinctive abilities and attire within the game.
Expansion Updates for Final Fantasy 16
Fans of Final Fantasy 16 are also anticipating the upcoming paid expansion named “The Rising Tide,” expected to release this spring. This expansion promises to delve into the enigma surrounding Leviathan and will introduce new Eikonic Skills, promising approximately ten hours of gameplay, marking a significant difference from the previously released “Echoes of the Fallen.” More information on this expansion will be revealed in the following months.
