Samsung has launched its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S24, which includes the S24, S24 Plus, and the premium S24 Ultra. These devices were introduced during the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 17, 2024, and have been available for pre-order with official sales starting on January 31, 2024. The series boasts minor hardware updates over its predecessors but includes substantial improvements in AI capabilities and durability.
Design and Durability Enhancements
The new Galaxy S24 lineup features incremental updates in design and builds quality. The S24 Ultra is now equipped with a more robust titanium frame, replacing the aluminum frame used in previous models, enhancing its durability.
This model also replaces the curved display with a flat screen, which is expected to facilitate easier use of the S Pen and improve durability with the newly introduced Corning Gorilla Armor. This glass is touted to be the most scratch-resistant yet, offering better protection and less reflectivity.

A significant highlight of the S24 series is its advanced AI features, enhancing functionalities across communication, online search, and media editing. The phones now support Google’s Gemini foundational models, allowing sophisticated operations like the Circle to Search feature, which enables users to perform quick searches on any circled item on their screen without switching apps.
Samsung has also matched Google’s support policy by providing seven major Android upgrades and security updates, positioning its devices as a long-term investment for users.

The Galaxy S24 starts at $799.99, the S24 Plus at $999.99, and the S24 Ultra at $1,299.99. Each model offers upgrades in RAM and storage options, with the S24 Ultra available up to 1TB of storage.
The entire line maintains the OLED display technology, with the S24 Ultra featuring a slightly larger and brighter screen than its counterparts. All models promise enhanced cooling systems for better performance during intensive tasks like gaming.
